Oriental design is a blend of form and function, where the interior and the design are beautiful, but they also have purpose and function.

What is characteristic about the oriental design is colours, mainly bold colours and shades of red, dark wood in combination with bright colours. The goal is to create an accent, one part that is emphasised and separated from the others.

Everything looks dramatic and chaotic in oriental design, as you can see in the dining room. However, in reality, there is no chaos, but everything is in order and has a purpose and function why it was placed there.

And while the dining room and the living area are done in a dramatic fashion, the bedrooms are the total opposite. In oriental design, bedrooms are the place for relaxation and rest. They need to be calm, comfortable and cozy.

Take the bedroom and the living room, and if you compare them, they echo the true principle of oriental design which is ying and yang.
