In most cases, when given the potential of a high ceiling, designers opt for creating a loft. In this case, however, the designer goes a different route, using the high ceiling to create a dramatic outlook of the apartment.
Starting from the living area, the designer has installed staircases towards the main seating area. With illumination beneath them, and floating effect, the staircases look as dramatic as possible.
Another effect resulted from the high ceiling is the platform lowered on the wall with the TV. It makes the TV feature wall looking compact. Without the platform, the TV feature wall would be lost in the high ceiling.
For the TV feature wall, the designer sticks to simple design, without shelves or storage options. The choice comes due to the staircases in the living area, making them the focal point of the interior.
In the kitchen, the designer installs an L-shape kitchen counter island that perfectly blends in with the space, closing the kitchen where space where needed. A marble counter top is the ideal choice that fits nicely with the tile finishing of the floor and the walls.
